Thank you in advance for your interest in Action: A Parent & Teen Support Program. Enclosed is a starter kit designed to help run an Action group in your area.

Since its inception in 1989, Action groups have spread rapidly throughout the country. Our hope is that groups will continue to spring up so that we might be able to benefit the greatest number of families possible. Your Action group provides a place for parents and teens to meet together in an effort to work out their difficulties. As a new group leader, you may have just become a very important person in the lives of many new friends. Leading a group is an important responsibility and can be very gratifying.

Please fill out the enclosed Group Registration Form and return it to us so that we can list your group at our Action Call Center. We hope the enclosed material answers any questions you may have. Trained counselors in your local area may also start teen groups. If your group would like a teen group started, please call us for more information.

If you need our assistance with your support group, please feel free to call us anytime at (800) FOR-TEENS. We are excited at the prospect of working with you.
